Shriek
First appearance: Spider-Man Unlimited #1

As a girl, Frances Louise Barrison was both abused and neglected by her parents, and as a result of her traumatic childhood, fell into drugs. While details of her life at this point are sketchy, Frances became a groupie for a rock band, ending up later a white skinned, electrical powered villain. Totally insane and calling herself Shriek, Frances ended up up the Ravencroft Sanitarium, soon encountering Cletus Kasady (aka: Carnage), and the two headed off on a murderous rampage.

Refered to as "Maximum Carnage", Shriek and Carnage, along with Carrion, Doppleganger and Demogoblin, began a killing spree through New York city, halted only due to the efforts of Spider-Man, Captain America, Venom and others. In the midst of that debacle, a family amongst the murderers was formed, Carnage and Shriek as the parents, Carrion and Demogoblin as their children and Doppleganger as the family dog. The quintet was defeated, and were all incarcerated, barring Doppleganger who had been slain by Carnage earlier.

After their defeat Carrion had been reverted back to his old self, Malcolm McBride and Demogoblin died saving an innocent child from being crushed to death. Carnage would fall into a coma, while Shriek remained in Ravencroft, escaping later with a recovering Malcolm, when she wished to recreate her shattered family. Shriek later chose to take away the Carrion virus within Malcolm, curing him completly, and raising the virus as a child until it was taken away from her by the ressurected Miles Warren. Shriek was last seen at Ravencroft, and is assumed to still be committed there.

Powers and Abilities: Able to fire bolts of electrical energies from her hands, Shriek also has flight abilities, supposedly linked to the electrical powers.
