Spidercide
First appearance: Spectacular Spider-Man #222 (as a clone of Peter Parker); New Warriors #61 (as Spidercide)

When Peter Parker learned that his long-thought-dead clone was alive, he was equally shocked to learn that the creator of the clone, Professor Miles Warren, the Jackal, had survived as well. Reencountering the Jackal, as well as the murderous first clone called Kaine, a fight broke out in the Jackal's lab, and another clone of Peter Parker emerged, though it was very likely that this wasn't a clone at all, that the man who came out of hiding then was actually the real Peter Parker. The third Parker learned quickly that he was in fact a clone of the real Spider-Man, and with the nickname "Freakface" he fought Spider-Man, and the clone who had taken to calling himself the Scarlet Spider. The clone began mutating in the course of the battle though and was presumed dead following it.

With the assistence of the seemingly mystical being known as Scrier though, "Freakface" was brought back to Warren's lab though and patched up and given a chance to be his own "spider". Through Jackal's technology the third clone was given the ability to transmutate it's being and was given a costume to become Spidercide, named for what it would enact upon Spider-Man, the Scarlet Spider and Kaine, it's "Brothers". When the Jackal's plans came to pass, Spidercide emerged, encountering the youth heroes the New Warriors and fighting against any who stood in Warren's path to repopulate the world with clones. However as the Jackal grew closer to reaching his goal, it was revealed that Spidercide had begun working for Scrier, who had no intention of mass global murder. Spidercide's attempt to stop Warren was shortlived though when they both fell out of a top story of the Daily Bugle and Spidercide splattered on the street below.

After the Jackal was defeated and his viral bomb difused, Spidercide was taken away by SHIELD officers, who admitted that while Spidercide most certainly appeared to be dead, it wasn't impossible that he might have survived the fall. Whether or not Spidercide is still alive is unknown.

Powers and Abilities: As a clone of Spider-Man, Spidercide has all of his powers, and due to treatments, he can reshape his body in any way he chooses, from shrinking down to an average size to becoming enormously large. Spidercide can also stretch his limbs and form sharp weapons out of his hands.
