The Stalker
First appearance: Peter Parker: Spider-Man V.2 #5

A virtual man of mystery, the unknown fellow began calling Peter and Mary Jane claiming he "knew her". When next he called it reduced Mary Jane to tears. It was thought by Peter and Mary Jane at first that the stalker was merely telephoning them in order to get at Peter, until it became known that the stalker is obcessed Mary Jane, and not only that but he has the resources to track flights and MJ's whereabouts. The Stalker, who has an eerie fondness for lollypops, was apparently killed in an explosion, only to resurface when MJ was flying to Latervia. It was assumed that both the Stalker and MJ were killed in an ensuing explosion, but it was revealed that both the Stalker and Mary jane survived it. The Stalker had been holding Mary Jane in an abandoned New York diner, and after a few months explained to Mary Jane that he had an encounter with Spidey wherein the Stalker absorbed a piece of Peter's mind, and wished to take over Peter's life, starting with Mary Jane. Spidey arrived at the Stalker's hideout to find Mary Jane, and upon rescuing Mary Jane, had a showdown with the Stalker that ended with the Stalker taking his own life.

Powers and Abilities: The Stalker has an uncontrollable mutant ability to read peoples minds, and after encountering Spider-Man, took on his thoughts and feelings, which unfortunatly resulted in the Stalker feeling pain whenever Spidey does.
