Me for President

This work is a rough draft to say the least. All things are pending further research and such. Basically this is a working outline for my ideas as such take them with a tinge of salt and any questions may be emailed to me.

      1. Cut defense spending by 15% and develop education system to rival all countries. With the funds made available by the military branch we could fund secondary education for the country or renovate all public schools in America. Our military is already the most advanced and extensive. We can withstand a cut for two years during and after which I would review our military strength and decide whether or not the funding should be reinstated.
      2. Universal health care, equal for each person and with America’s capabilities still among the best in the world.
      3. Barely any tax on the poor, high taxes on the rich, middle class have minimal. We must attempt to bring everyone up in the social respect so that they have more time for education and mental development since members of a democracy that are constantly occupied with financial troubles do not take the time to inform themselves of political activities and thus are not good members of a democracy. With the lowered taxes the lower classes can achieve a more stable financial situation to allow them to further themselves and their families.
      4. Repeal NAFTA and WTO. Until the standards of workers’ rights in other countries are raised greatly we cannot allow companies to exploit them and their minimal environmental laws.
      5. Environmental laws, vehicle regulations and safety measures tightened. Allowable pollution emissions reduced each successive year, companies held responsible for waste dumps, move to non-gasoline power, move to solar, wind, and waterpower, force automotive companies to install breakaway windshields and other safety measures that they have forwent in the search for profit. Airplanes and trains should be installed with bulletproof cockpit doors.
      6. Elimination of Electoral College, election system modified to a proportional representation for the House of Reps so that peoples’ votes really count. Begin automatic registration for all eligible voters in all elections. Voting should be declared a national holiday and people given the day off so that we may get a much better turnout and a truer representation of what the people want.
      7. Strong revision of the War Powers Act of ’72. Executive branch most be held accountable for any military action.
      8. Companies will no longer have rights as a person and will be held accountable for insidious plans such as life insurance policies taken out on their own employees behind their backs. Companies will no longer be allowed to use prison inmates as labor of any kind.
      9. Stricter handgun laws. Rifles are exempt from the restrictions. Handguns are used in hundreds if not thousands of murders every year, much more than rifles. Rifles may still be bought as they are and used as home protection or for hunting.
      10.Repeal of any ban on gay marriage. I don’t believe it is the government’s place to tell people how to live, aside from activities that hurt other people.
      11. Advocate public smoking ban. If people choose to continue smoking they may do so in private but second hand smoke is detrimental to surrounding peoples’ health.
