Tiger the Lion

Born Joseph Adrian Waalkes

I had to think about what I was going to write. I had no idea where to go or where to start. This will be a little freestyle for now, bare with me...

I was born in Jackson, MI. In January of 1962. Being in a military family, we moved several times while growing up. Finally settling in Colorado in a small town named Black Forest. That is where I grew up. If you ask people who know me, I think that they will tell you that I am a very down to earth guy. I will tell you that I am not perfect. But then are any of us? I believe that we all learn from our mistakes. I have learned a lot... I am still learning.

I did the military thing. I was in the Navy. This was in 1981. That is where I met Charles, My first Love! I owe him a lot. He helped me get through a lot of things. After 2 1/2 years he retired and went home to his family. I returned to Colorado in 1985 and found it very hard to be there. Once again. I moved to Michigan where I held a variety of jobs. After a while I met my ex-wife. I know!! Mistake! Any ways... After 8 years with her, we separated and went our own ways. This was in 1994.  I took advantage of the freedom and started the career that I have always wanted. I will tell you later what that is...

I was brought out to my family. Yes, brought out!! By a man that I thought was a friend. We will leave this subject on the back burner.

I met JC in 1998.. It was Jan 15th. After we chatted and talked on the phone for a week we had our first official date. I knew at the time that I saw him that he was the man for me. I can not imagine being without him. We have now been together for four years.

He helped me get a job at Best Buy. Joy, Oh Joy!!! Well it was better than some jobs I have had. Just the managers were something to be desired. I stopped working for Best Buy in Mar 2000. This was to start the job I have now! Oh, Yeah... I will tell you now, I am a truck driver! I run regional and dedicated runs in the midwest and eastern states. It is a tight schedule which allows me more time at home and NO time for extra stops.

Now a little more about me

I have many interests which include movies, music, outdoors, quiet time at home with friends and family.

My musical tastes are as follows... Country, Classical, Opera, and I am learning to enjoy the arts of Rock (U2 and REM are ok) and other types of music. My favorite artists are Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, David Daniels (Opera)! My favorite Musical is Fiddler on the Roof!

This is me in a nut shell. If there is anything that you would like to know... Just ask!

Thanks for spending the time here. Please, email me if you like.
