Guy Gardner found a mystical yellow energy ring (Lost during an early battle between Hal and Sinestro.). He found that every time he encountered someone with an emerald ring he could draw there power into his ring. Not only dose his ring drain the green energy rings but it also works in the exact same way only with yellow energy. Shortly after the forming of the Justice Lords he went underground due to rumors that Hal and Stewart were putting a price on his head. He is not exactly a member of the Rebels but he has said on many occasions when his path crosses with the Justice Rebels "My enemy's enemy is my ally".
