Starfire and Dick Grayson were very much in love at a bad time. Once Dick disappeared before the forming of the Justice Lords she knew something was wrong. She tried to contact him after the start of the Justice War as it is now being called, between the Justice Lords and Rebels. The person she contacted was cold and dark. Nothing like the Dick she knew. She believes he is under some outside control and now believes that it is Martian Manhunter who is responsible for the changes in Dick. Once Batman approached her to join the Rebels, while he was still a Lord, she accepted in the hope that she would be able to free Dick and they could be together again.
