Wow, another really long time coming, a new entry. I keep forgetin and puting it off. But now, I'm typing in a Best Western in Tonopa, Nevada. NEVADA! It is hot like a muther out here. Today i went to Death Valley. It is so, so, soooo aptly named. At 282 ft below sea level, there is a place called bad water. I pond in the middle of some salt flats. Nowhere in a hundred mile radius is there natural water, but in the lowest hottest region of Death Valley, there is a pond. Of course, it's so amazingly salty, of course is "Badwater", but still, wierd.
I love you Charlotte.

Wow...It has been really, really long since I've updated. You can tell you need to update your site when its been more than a month. I just had to get around to it. Not like I had anything better to do. But now i do, so I shuold be doing that. But no, of course i don't. I hate how much I procrastinate. I really need summer now. I'm excited, cause I can take my basson home over the summer and get really good at it, and I might even be able to take home an upright bass, which would be so kickass. I could spend my summer playingb tennis and instraments. Mike Polinsky and I are gonna play all the bass clef instraments in the orch. Next year we tackle the trombone. But first, bass and basson.
The Klax says excessive cursing is a cop out when it comes to language and a diverse vocabulary. I say fuck you, you fucking fuck-fuck.

I can see 9-2's advsory across the patio right now, cause my class had to go to 311 today. Don't no why. something about eigth graders taking tests in our room. I'm tired. Rosi says that she wants to hang out wednesday or thursday, but I have a piano lesson today, and Jasper's not sure about tommorow.
And just so you know, apparently, some folks in Ohio don't set thier clocks differnt.
-- 14 April 2004
This morning at 2, everyone in the United States set their clocks ahead an hour. Why? Because of our bygone agricultural tradition. But nowadays, all it is is losing an hour of sleep. Which makes me grumpy, cause I'm still tired.
Last night me and Ben worked at the Segde, telling peolpe where to park. One, yes, just one person asked me, and she didn't even need it. But we had a good time yelling at each other across the street. Bleh.

Right, so I'm at the Sedg. Yes. Sedg. Avant-garde jazz kicks ass, ya know. And this keyboard is loud. It's a pretty good show. The jazz is written with lighting in mind, cause it's one of those world premiere thingys of light/jazz dealys. I dont think that was a cohernt sentance. Or concise. Jake be my dictionary. Did I spell that right Jake? Thank you Jake.

I haven't upodated for sooooooooo long. I dont think it was as long as Tyler's break, but long. I urge everyone with this entry, come on back to the site every once in a while. The hits for Janurary topped February, and it looks like February will top March. Not a happy trend.
-- 22 March 2004
On saturday, me and Jazz played a song or two at Dina's party, and everyone liked us. Or didn't have the heart to tell us we sucked. But I think they liked us. Ian much so. He said that the bass line to Bar None (The Drone)was the best ever, which is an obvious overstatement, especially cause it's only three notes. But yay anyway. See y'all lata.

We're scraping the EP idea. Turns out we have enough songs for an ok sized album. Eight, nine songs, a few interludes. Start of with "A Song About Morning", into "Three Day Weekend" (cause you just woke up, and you're like, 'oh shit, it's Monday') Concept album type dealy. I think I like the idea.
Altogether, the pratice we had on Sunday kicked ass, just generally, cause we worked a little, but mostly just jammed our beastly selves out. Dandy. And props to Tyler, your drumming is kicking ass now that you've had a few lessons. And to Jazz, cause you got creativity coming out the wazzoo! And to me, cause I feel left out, and think I'm bringing some stuff to the group. Seeya.

So geuss what the present that my parents got me was. Go on, guess... Wrong! It was a cell phone! Yay. It's actually pretty nice too. I feel so spent on. Makes me feel dandy, peachy keen even. I'm sure the novelty will wear off eventually, but for now, yay!
Over all, I had a good birthday, and I hope that all your birthdays shall be this dandy. Friends, family, stuff. Definatly a good recipe. Everyone smile!
Hey, check out this.
-- 16 February 2004
It's Valentine's Day, and Jazz and Liam stayed over at my house last night. Jazz be still here but no Liam, for he went to Natassia's. I had good birfday. My parents havent given me thier present to me yet though, and I'm all like "I want my present" and my mom's all like "wait till your dad gets home" and I'm all like, pout.
But's thats cool, so I have something to anticipate. I got a Jaco Pastrorius cd to, and he kicks ass. The bassist compared to what Hendrix did to the guitar. Coolio, dawg.

It's my birthday, it's my birthday it's my birthday!
-- 13 February 2004
It's my birthday on Friday. Doesn't that just brighten up your week? It does mine. It's Friday the 13th, and that's just cool. But, it is Freshman Day, and that kinda sucks. What with being a freshman, ya know. I don't really think anyone is going to do anything to me, but Jazz might get a tad of shit beat out of him, cause the senoirs don't like him, but I still don't think so. I'm fairly safe, cause the only senoirs, or uperclassman for that matter, that I know, I could take. S'all good.
-- 11 February 2004
Ok, so I WAS gonna update a couple days ago, buuuut then I had to get off and forgot to save my progress. How many people that you know edit HTML. Fuck. Bell rang.
Ok back. I did the first part at school, and the bell rang so i couldn't finish. But now, I forgot what I was saying. Be back to finish later.
Note: I didn't come back.
-- 10 February 2004
So again, it's been a long time since I updated lately, but it's not like I have much to say. My bass teacher is gonna help us learn "Open My Eyes" by The Nazz, and we think we're gonna cover that for the EP. Also, I'm learning Hey Joe, the Jimi Hendrix version, not The Leaves. Talking of the EP ,me and Gaspar think we have a winner for the name: Audiocute. It means to be killed by music, roughly. I'm a tad worried that it may make it sound like we're a death metal group, but chances are it won't. You can email us EP name suggestions it you want to, at the_insinuations@yahoo.com, but you don't have to. So, as of progress in the recording of the EP, we have one song done, completely, another recorded preliminarlily, if that's a word, and a couple pretty much done writing. So there you go. We were trying for mid February, but that ain't gonna happen, so our new date is somewhere around the ides of March. We'll make a huge anouncement and all that shit when it does happen, and copies will probably be free, if not really cheap, to cover cost of cds. wow, this is my longest entry since the first one. Yeah... Seeya later.

I'm Back! Well, I never really went anywhere, but I definatly wasn't updating the site. Not like Tyler does it. Or Liam for that matter. But Jasper does alot of the work on the site, so he updates alot. Whatever.
Anyway, on the weekend, we finished up the fine tuned writing for Three Day Weekend. (Look for the clip in The News Room, here. It's only 30 seconds and i think we should slow it down, but thats all good. We actually recorded an entire song. That kicks ass. Now if only we could get it to record well. But maybe that's being to hopeful. Come Back Soon!

Today, I was talking about the band with Jazz, cause thats what I do, and we decided that we're gonna run our songs through a thing...uh..a guantlet, i guess. We're gonna actually try to get some stuff finished. I think that we, if we actually work on it, provided any extenuating circumstances, could get 5 songs done by, lets say, my birthday. (February 13th). Yeaahhhhhhh.......
-- 12 January 2004
Yeah... Vita asked me today if I was in a band. Apparently she saw the site, that, that right there, gave me a splinter of hope. Jasper said he didn't tell her bout it, so obviously, she heard by owrd on mouth from a no-band member. That kicks all kinds of ass. Anyway, I want all you you who actually read this, tell all your friends bout it ok?
-- 7 January 2004
I finished Bel Canto today, and for 314 pages (out of 318), I really liked it, but the the ending came out of nowhere, Bam!!! And it was so untrue to the story and so unnecisary that it made me like the book less.
But anyway, that was what took up the majority of my day, and now that makes me mad, cause I didn't want to use it reading a book that was just gonna get me mad. Im gonna go simmer now.
-- 4 January 2004
So today is a new day. A day of the bass lesson, as I am still learning. A day of song writing. A day of inspiration (Or as Tenacious D say, "Inspirado"). Anyway, I think it'll be a good day. But ya never know. Maybe today will be a terrible, horrible day. I should hope not.
So, winter break ends tommorow, and I hae to start school again on Monday. As you may guess, I an less than thrilled. In fact, I am less than less than thrilled. I'm pissed. I'm not ready to go back yet! I need to do homework. I need to read a book. i need to do that now

Welcome to the Bassist's page, where you will all be forced to read the crazy ramblings of a crazy man.
I wonder how many people begin thier sites that way... Not many creative ways to do so, so I tried not being creative, but in a creative way, which makes it kind of paradoxial... or maybe not, maybe I'm just overestimating my own brain power...
So here, I guess will be any pertinent Bassist news, but I doubt that much of that will come up. So I'll end up using this page as a way to convey to all the fans out there all my ideas and opinions. But wether you listen out not is you fault. S'all good. Anyway... right, I'm Brendan Sullivan, the Bassist, but most of the time I'm just credited as BS here. No one appreciates me. I guess we're trying to put out an EP soon, a kinda five song dealy-type. I doubt you will find it in all your major CD distributers and Target, so you probably have to contact us to get one, if the feeling so moves you. If you want to know when it will be out, you can ask one of us, or something like that. Once we have a definate date for it to come out, we'll get Liam to put a count down thingy on the site. If you haven't voted on the EP title yet, do so, bitch.
But enough about the band, now more about me. Jazz said some stuff about what music he liked, over on his part of the site, so I guess is could tell you...Hmm... I really like mostly stuff that wasnt made in the past 20 years, save a few select bands like The Hives, Broken Social Scene, and the occasinal Nirvana, or Michel Jackson song. Well that was boring.
So anyway,I'm ranting, and really should stop, but I have nothing better to do, cause Jazz is skiing, and Tyler is in Chicago, so I can't be making music right about now. Everyone should read "On The Road" By Jack Kerouac. Good Shit.

For email, you can drop it off at the_insinuations@yahoo.com, and give it a subject line, if it's meant only for one guy, thanks.
