Bringer of news is my gut.
I don't know how it's always right.
Before something wrong happens I know,
No matter how hard I try to take flight.
This time it was the girl I love,
She sent me back the ring I bought,
The letter she sent a testimony to lost causes,
I guess I haven't found what I have sought.
My quest must continue and to myself stay true.
Only upon myself can I trust completely for now.
My heart should be broken, but strangely it isn't.
In my heart I know why, I can see how.
I wonder if I ever did have her heart,
or was it only me loving from the very start.
