John McCook in bed with Heather Locklear (Amanda, MELROSE PLACE)? Yup. After leaving his role of Lance Prentiss on YOUNG AND RESTLESS, John McCook guest-starred on such prime-time Shows as MAGNUM, P.I., L.A. LAW and MURDER, SHE WROTE. It was a brief - but sexy - stint on DYNASTY that established McCook’s connection to that MP star. “We shot that scene in two hours in some apartment house and then I was out of there,” McCook recalls. “Heater’s character [Sammy Jo] was living the high life as a call girl or doing something kind of smarmy. The device was to show this businessman getting out of bed with her. It wasn’t a make-out scene. My character was just trying to get some more of what he had the night before and she was disgusted by it and herself and at what she was doing.”
