Episode Two:
"Hippo-What?"

The Real Jig The Real Terry

*Sigh*
"What?"

"Do you ever feel like you're a hypocrite, Jig?"
"Hmm... Uhh. A hippo-what?"

"A hypocrite. You don't follow your own advice, that kind of thing?"
"I try not to give advice for that reason. Everyone just does what they want, and I'll do what I want."

"I guess that's one method."
"Why? What did you do that was, uh... that made you a hypocrite?"

"Just some little things - some inner feelings I had."
"You want to tell me what it was?"

"Well, I tell people that if they think evil, and they desire it, it's just as bad as doing evil."
"Really? Is that from the Bible?"

"Yeah. And I really believe it too."
"So if I want to... I don't know... rob a bank or something, but I don't, I might as well just do it?"

"Think of it this way: if the only thing stopping you from commiting a sin is the fact that it's a crime, then you've already committed it in your heart."
"Hm, okay. But what did you do that was inwardly evil?"

"I was fantasizing about... you know..."
"What! You can't feel guilty about that... it's just natural."

"Did it ever occur to you that people are naturally bound to go to hell?"
"...Hmph. Well, what, are we all going to hell then? Because you can't help but think about bad things. You said it yourself!"

"But there's a difference between thinking and desiring. If you desire sin, then you are sinning... But, anyway, my point is that I feel like a hypocrite for saying these things, and then going and desiring evil."
"Well I can't help you there, man. You know more about it than me. But... I can tell you that I think it's better to teach good and screw up once or twice than to teach nothing and do bad. Don't you think so?"

"...Better to fail being good than to succeed being evil...?"
"Because it's not like you always 'desire evil', right? Plus you feel guilty about it. That proves that it was a mistake, and not really being a hypocrite, if you ask me."

"I... I think you're right, Jig. Thanks, I really need to hear that."
"No problem, Terry.
I don't like seeing a good person feel bad for not being perfect, when bad people don't even feel bad for not being good!"

"...Since when did you become such a phraseologist?"
"A what?"

"Nevermind, Jig... nevermind."

The Moral of The Story:

"Don't talk about things that are bad just so that you can find approval from people who are even worse than you. Take the high road when it comes to conversations. And remember: silence beats stupidity."
