Gametown
790 is scanning May, trying to understand how she came back to life. Stan has stayed quiet about his deal with Prince, and May also seems unaware of the method of her resurrection. Xev however thinks Stan knows more than he is letting on.

Several moths have been bred in the chamber by the sad little drones. Kai's plan to bring food and water to the Lexx is underway as Stan takes May aside, subconsciously asking for vindication that his decision to make a deal with Prince was right, even though he tries to sell it to her as a "dream" that he had. As soon as he mentions Prince however, May feels a sharp pain and Stan realises that he has just been reminded of their deal. He is now in no doubt that his "dream" was real.

Kai heads towards water with a convoy of moths in tow and lands on the first city he finds. The inhabitants are engaged in a game, a cross between volleyball and basketball, and one side in particular seems to be losing. The captain of the losing side is called Fifi - a man (yes, a man) who seems at odds with the rest of the population in that he is not a perfect specimen of humanity. In fact he's short, a bit porky, and his personality is far more aggresive than the rest of the airheaded people playing.

Noticing the approaching moths, the gamers arm themselves, no doubt anticipating a similar attack to the one that destroyed May's city. Kai signals to them from the lead moth, however, and they allow him to land. He introduces himself and explains his mission to the inhabitants, who seem friendly and welcoming towards him. Fifi introduces himself to Kai, who remarks that Fifi looks like someone he knew 4,000 years ago, and indeed he does. The man is a carbon copy of the owner of the Luvliner - the space brothel visited by the crew in series 2. Unfazed by this, Fifi merely states that he must have been a good looking guy.

The people of the game-town are more than willing to provide food for Kai in large quantities to take back to Lexx. They seem to have everything they need in abundance, in contrast to the people of Fire, who have nothing but desert. Gametowners are so comfortable in fact that all they seem to do all day...is play!

Stanley meanwhile is confessing his love for May. He tells her that she is "the one" for him, and May seems pleased.

Fifi seems very interested in Kai's moths and the breeders who have piloted the extra moths. They are busily engaged in loading food on board in readiness for transport back to the Lexx. His inquisitiveness is interrupted by one of the boys inviting Kai to a game. Fifi immediately accepts the challenge, grabbing Kai for his team and passing him the ball. Kai does his Harlem Globetrotter bit, balancing the spinning ball on his fingertip.

Realising that May's life depends on his destruction of Water, Stan reluctantly begins ordering the Lexx to fire it's weapon next time the planet is in range due to Lexx's orbit. Xev finds Stan hesitantly commanding Lexx and seems to have a change of heart. She challenges Stan as to why he's trying to blow up the planet and the ensuing argument between them means that Stan is late giving the order to fire at the planet. By the time he gets to give the command, the blast wave misses Water by inches, not even searing Kai's eyebrows as he sees the attack from the planet below. Xev is not going to let Stanley get away with planet-cide without an explanation however, and she forces him to reveal his deal with Prince. She seems unsatisfied by his answer though, convinced that it was just a dream. After all, Prince is dead...isn't he? Her confidence is rocked further, however, when they go to the cryochamber and find that May's condition has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.

Kai is currently looking like I used to throughout all those years of Phys Ed...standing at the back not doing anything whilst all the fit ones with hand-eye co-ordination play the game. Fifi is less than impressed with his new team-member, complaining that maybe Kai could put a little life into his game...? Kai replies, as he is wont to do, that it's difficult to put life into a game..when you're dead. Seemingly ignoring Kai's non-living status, Fifi merely tells him to "help us out a little bit, ok?" Kai pauses for a millisecond before asking "What would you like me to do?" Explaining that Kai should, oh, I dunno, score some goals maybe, Fifi gives him the thumbs up and says "I play to win!". Kai responds with his own thumbs up and replies loudly if unenthusiastically "OK!". With blatant disregard to rules (I'm presuming it's against the rules to use a wrist brace, seeing as none of the other players seem to use them) Kai proceeds to grab the ball and fire it crashingly into the other team's goal. In fact, no-one can touch him for speed and accuracy and the dead man quickly becomes the Man of the Match, Fifi's team back on track to win for the first time in a while from the looks for it.

Xev has decided to take a break from the whole situation and is sleeping in her chamber when she's awoken by Prince. Hiding her surprise at seeing her dead ex alive and kicking, she asks if she is dreaming. Prince's ambiguous answer leaves her none the wiser, asking her "what is reality and what is a dream?" Then he asks her whether she still cares for him. Xev cannot help but answer "yes". If she still cares for him, Prince reasons, then she should let Stanley do what he has to do, i.e. blow up Water, and seals his request with a kiss. Leaving a confused Xev, he then goes to find Stan, telling him that he must destroy Water on Lexx's next pass or the bird gets it...sorry, May will die. Xev follows Prince onto the bridge but he's disappeared by the time she finds a confused and unco-operative Stanley who still refuses to discuss his deal with Prince. Xev is becoming even more confused than she was before, and she seems to be silently questioning Prince's motives and possibly her own.

Kai fires the winning shot and is immediately congratulated by his team-mates. Obviously the people of Gametown make up for in uninhibitedness what they lack in brains as one girl, a pretty blonde called "Bunny" (hmmm - does that mean she goes like a...sorry), fair jumps on Kai, wrapping her legs around his waist can causing me to cry out "Lucky bitch!" in that jealous tone of voice. Bunny is the spitting image of Laleene...the girl Kai killed in the shower in Wake the Dead (series 2). This is the second person from the past who has turned up on this strange planet, but neither of them seem to remember who they once were. Bunny invites Kai to join her in a shower...all the inhabitants are heading off for one, except Fifi who's "not into showers". Kai, as ever responsive to orders, follows Bunny into the open plan group showers and amongst the naked, glistening bodies. Retaining his own clothes, Kai stands incongruously behind Bunny as she showers sensuously, obviously trying to turn him on. When Bunny "accidentally" drops the soap, Kai (ever the gentleman) bends down to pick it up and checks that Bunny's legs haven't fallen off as he does so. Well I can't think of any other reason he'd have to stare at them quite that hard... Bunny insists that Kai wash her back, which he agrees to do, scrubbing enthusiatically while Bunny oohs and aahs trying to excite the dead-man's passion.

Luckily Lexx's technology appears to be waterproof as Xev makes contact by squawker. Bunny's passionate pantings are transmitted into the cavernous bridge from Kai's radio. A disgusted 790 listens in horror as Kai informs Bunny that she is now clean. "Oh no I'm not, I'm dirty...very dirty!" she insists, grabbing Kai's hand and clasping it over her breast. Xev listens in amazement as Kai tries to explain in his dead-pan (excuse the pun) way that he is not alive, but leaves his hand in place for some reason...hmmmm. Insisting that her body is alive, she wiggles under Kai's hand, asking him how it feels. "Hot" is Kai's reply, although I think he means purely in a temperature kinda way, as Bunny pulls his hand lower and lower, and hotter and hotter until he reaches her...um..."hottest" parts. And although Bunny's breathing has become quite...excited...Kai remains unmoved Bunny asks him to put out her "fire". "What's going on down there?!" demands Xev. "I'm assisting someone taking a shower" Kai replies, without a hint of guilt. "Who?" demands Xev, before asking the woman "What's your name?" Bunny answers, prompting Xev to ask just "Who is Bunny?". Kai responds to the effect that Bunny is a "naked young woman". 790's tortured cry that Kai should return to the Lexx to sort out an, erm, "emergency" is unanswered as Bunny plays with Kai's hand. Xev insists that Kai should not get distracted from his mission to feed the Lexx and he leaves Bunny standing there, all wet and unfulfilled. As he returns to the gaming area, however, he discovers that the moths are being stolen by a very pleased Fifi who is about to leave Gametown. He never fitted in there anyway by the looks of it and refuses Kai's plea to return the moths with a "So long suckers!!"

In the meantime, Stan is still trying in vain to convince Xev to let him destroy Water to save May's life. Xev gets fed up and decides to go and have a lie down...knowing possibly that Prince will appear once more to try and persuade her to allow Stan to fulfill his half of the deal. Which is indeed what he does. Xev is torn between her desire for Prince and the fact that she's basically good at heart and cannot justify Stan detroying an entire planet to save his bird. Prince keeps her talking long enough for Lexx to reach the point on his orbit where he can fire at Water, and then tells Xev gleefully that she now cannot reach the bridge in time to stop Stanley from firing. Xev however is never one to be beaten and this seems to be the last straw for her to turn on Prince. With a "that's what you think" look, she metamorphoses into her cluster lizard form, curls up into a wheel and hits the bridge at such speed that she knocks Stan flat as he is about to give the order to fire. Stan struggles to give the order but with his face now nestled between Xev's rehumanised breasts, he hasn't got much of a chance. His pleading for air goes unheeded by Xev who makes sure Stan is completely muffled until the opportunity to blow up Water has passed. Relaxing, Xev gets off Stan and he sadly realises that although Xev was right to stop him, May is probably now dead as a dead thing on dead pills. Xev shows some sympathy to the depressed Stan and they slowly make their way to the cryochamber to discover the fate of poor May.

May has indeed passed on. Passed on to Prince that is! She is very much alive and in the clutches of the ruthless ruler, where she berates Stan for his failure to blow up Water. And it's not just because she wanted to live, it's because she is indeed in the employment of Prince. She was never really dying, it was all just a trick to get the hapless Stan to blow up their enemies. Prince meanwhile tells Xev that although he did not like her choice, it was the right choice, and although he did like Stan's choice, it was the wrong one...confused yet? He points out to Stan that Xev has prevented him from getting his reward - the lovely (if evil) May for a wife. As if to reiterate Stan's mistake, he clasps May passionately and they kiss. But the Prince promises that Stan will soon get the reward that he deserves. Prince and May then make their getaway to the moth chamber with Xev and Stan in pursuit, but manage to grab a moth in time and take off. As they are leaving, May turns to the poor confused Stan and taunts him laughingly with "you are the one, Stanley Tweedle, you are the one!" echoing the words he spoke to her in love as she was dying. The deflated Stan and Xev make their way back to try and communicate with Kai on the planet, where he informs them as to Fifi's treachery in stealing the moths. He is now stranded on Gametown with no way back to the Lexx.

Fifi, meanwhile, has taken the army of moths to Fire where he has landed atop a tall city tower. He is engaged in conversation with a bald man with a dark mark on his chin. He appears to be the ruler of this town and his name is Duke. Duke assesses the traitor as Fifi tries to convince him that the moths are a fantastic resource...and that Duke should take him on as a valuable ally...
