It is quite an old game now, you can find it on budget label for £4.99!! You are X-com a goverment organisation set-up to tackle the problem of UFO's. The intro is great, I love watching it over again. When the game first loads you have to find a place on the globe to set-up your base and name it. After clicking on advance time, a UFO might appear send out an interceptor jet and shoot the bugger down, then send out a another ship to land and capture alien technogoly and other interesting stuff. It is one of those turn based strategy games which are fun but annoying at the same time.

You have a set amount of units in which to move your person once used up, you can decide to switch to another team member or let the aliens have a turn, which brings up a black screen and the occasional shot of an alien moving around. Thats all you do during each level. After misson complete or failure you return to your base in which you can either buy new equitment, hire scienctists or engineers, do research or build another base else where all of which are all standard in most strategy games today. The problems are few but can be very annoying for example you spot an alien but you haven't got enough units to shoot the bugger and your other members aren't in range, AHHHHHHH!! the aliens turn and guess what? yep the bastard shoots your man who was carry some vital alien technogly and so you have to send another man out to retrieve the stuff he was carrying and be careful the alien doesn't shoot the other man too.

Capturing all the aliens and completing the mission can feel quite pleasing but you then release this is all you do throughout the entire game. Having all your team members spread across the map, hidden in bushes and behind walls etc like a raid can be a lot of fun and amusing but it soon wears off after 5 more levels like it. The game it self is a bit slow paced and feels if you are going round in a loop, things only really pick up when the aliens invade your base, which can be a bugger to defend. The graphics are ok but as it is an old game so you wouldn't expect very good graphics any way.
