Buenos Altos Address
Dear Citizens:
Today is sad day. Today is the day that we must take up arms in anger. The Pharoh of Meijing has ignored our diplomatic overtures of peace. Instead, the Pharoh continues on his/her path of warfare. Already, two Vaticonian uprisings have been quelled, resulting in many deaths. How can we, as a nation believing in freedom and self-determination, stand by idle and watch uprisings in the name of freedom crushed, one after another? Two weeks ago, Dope Con Paul II issued a plea for help. Unfortunately, we were foolish to believe that Meijing would bring sweeping reforms that would improve the quality of life for Vaticonians. Instead, the rule of the Pharoh has brought nothing but bloodshed. We were fools to believe that the crisis would be resolved diplomatically.
It is with great sorrow that, as Foreign Minister of Buenos Altos, that I, on behalf of the government and people of Buenos Altos, declares war on the nation of Meijing. We will fight Meijing until Vaticon City is liberated and is and can no longer be threatened by Meijing.
Lord Somerset, Foreign Minister of Buenos Altos
