EL-HUSSAQ REPUBLIC PRESS RELEASE
February 28, 2003

"People of the Mapp:

"The latest developments on the Mapp have worried me much. We believe that the current situation on the Mapp must not remain the same. Change must be introduced soon and urgently. C.P. has reached a stage where it has become useless in dealing with the current political, economical and military situation. C.P is in desperate need of reform. By now you must have heard that I have proposed some drastic changes to C.P. So here are my 2 cents of wisdom:

"1. Elect a new Secretary General, one who doesn't hold any political, economical or military position in any country on the Mapp. Thus any candidate wishing to run for this title must relinquish power in his own country should he win. You also have heard rumblings that I wish to run for that position, the truth of the matter is that I realize that both my popularity and credibility on the Mapp are slim if non-existent due to my past actions which I regret. Also I encourage anyone to run for this position. Thus I as of this moment announce my resignation as President of El-Hussaq and call for an election to choose a new president for El-Hussaq. However it is my hope that this new president would run for the title of Secretary-General in an effort to correct El-Hussaq's mistakes of the past. [A new player in this case would recieve control of my country.]

"2. The new reformed C.P. should not be a slave to the will of Great Powers, even though Great Powers should retain some of their privileges in C.P., this international organization should not be handcuffed by a few people's wills. I suggest in accordance with the Marcusburg proposition to expand the Great Powers Forum into a Security Council consisting of 13 countries, 10 permanent members (5 out of which possess the veto right) and 3 non permanent members which rotate every month. This Security Council would serve to resolve emergency conflicts and situations instead of waiting untill a formal Congress can be held. For an issue to pass in this Congress it would require 8 out of 13 votes and any decision taken with 10 votes or more cannot be vetoed. I suggest that this council include countries of different political flavours, i.e. represent all the main parties on the Mapp.

"3. Build up a C.P. army capable of halting aggression and consisting of different nationalities. A modern army with elite forces and modern equipment. This army is not subject to the will of the Secretary-General rather to the will of the international community.

"4. Introduce economic reforms that encourage peaceful countries and punish aggressors.

"These points are merely suggestions. The process of reforming C.P is one that requires all countries to participate in and agree upon. I don't claim to offer any remedy to the current fallout on the Mapp I just offer sincere suggestions.

"In the end I would like to apologize to all countries that I comitted acts of agression against, mainly Lindsholm, Natharctica and whoever else (I hear there is a long list). I would like to thank the people of El-Hussaq and peoples of the Mapp for their unlimited patience towards me."
