SPQJ (JARED) COMMENTS ON LINDSHOLM DOCTRINE
May 14, 2002

First, [the Supreme Viceroy]'s promise of "protection" is not justifiable: the CP has not authorized Lindsholm to act in place of the Defensecorps. And, if [the Supreme Viceroy] interfered in a conflict on someone's behalf, it would amount to "calling in your bigger brother to bully someone." In other words, it would amount to aggression and escalation of the conflict. The CP does not tolerate such behaviour from other nations, and nations who demonstrate such behaviour are often branded as aggressors and accordingly punished.

Second, [the Supreme Viceroy]'s declaration that he'll protect his "political, economical and military interest upon foreign soil" is a declaration of imperialistic overlordship. It is a military threat to anyone and everyone who might conceivably stand in his way. Such deranged and undisciplined application of power is a threat to the continued prosperity of the Mapp, and as such Lindsholm's new foreign policy should not be tolerated by peace-loving, progressive nations on the Mapp.

Accordingly, the government of the Hanseatic League requests that the CP intervene and force Lindsholm to liberalize its foreign policy under penalty of being branded an aggressor. Also, since the GX has a common foreign policy, the Hanseatic League appeals to the governments of Marcusburg and Gorditas to encourage their colleague to exercise some restraint.
