Ethnarch Uses Immense Weight

Following relative inaction after the announcement of Samchorage’s agreement to the Marcusburg Accords Peace Conference, Ethnarch Jussolini responded with vengeance – making his immense weight felt on the diplomatic stage. On July 28, 2000, the Ethnarch announced that he would agree to the Peace Conference as well. He also made it known that he would countercharge Samchorage with crimes in Congressional Parliament in the upcoming Congress of Lindsholm. Latest reports at Ambassador Hall in Marcusburg indicate that both sides are not even talking to each other. Frustrated at the length and cost of the Pyrrhic War, the Prime Chancellor of Marcusburg issued a stern demarche to the two powers: come to a peace agreement by August 15, 2000 or one will be imposed upon you. The development further compounds pressure on the two heads of state as the Prime Chancellor has already made it clear that should the President or the Ethnarch leave the bargaining table, they will face war from a different direction. Accentuating an already tense situation, the Ethnarch entered the House of Affiliates of Congressional Parliament on August 7, 2000 and issued a veto, the first of any, over the Statement of Condemnation democratically decided upon by the Denisia Trials. The Secretary-General has confirmed the move while delegates remain shocked over the development. Staff at the Congressional Clerk Office have been told to cease work concerning the Condemnation known as “An Inquiry Into The Conduct Of Pursuant Nations Towards Hostile Third Parties”.
