LINDSHOLMIC STATEMENT FOR THE PROSECUTION IN THE EMBARGO TERMINATION COMMITTEE
September 2, 2002

"To what end will this course of action go? It seems entirely possible that one day, the Secretary General will forgo contacting even the Great Powers Forum, citing that in an attempt to facilitate the resolution of issues in an efficient manner,” that the Secretary General will make the decisions on his own.

"Yes, there are a lot of negligent powers that do not vote, and will consistently not vote, but how many Middle and Emerging Powers are there that will actually vote, and consistently vote. Would it be right to not include them in any decisions at all concerning the Mapp, those that are actually striving to play the game? For this, the current method of suspension is adequate in allowing only those that participate the rights to do so.

"To resolve this manner in a fair and open manner, I would like to see a true congress to be held with the same question posed to the Great Powers Forum. As well, to ensure that this either does not happen again, or is entirely legal next time I would also like to propose another question: “Can the Great Powers Forum be used as a Substitute Congress? As well, I would petition that the time for Congresses be shortened to one week, as those that are actually concern and interested in the Mapp will be able to vote in the shortened time span."
