Rattanjeetland Press Release
October 17, 2001
From the Desk of Ethnarch

"Lindsholm has shown what would be considered by many to be backwards reasoning in the events that have followed the annexation of the former nation of Dickens Peninsula. If Lindsholm wished to ask what my intentions were after the annexation of DP, I am sure that the first words upon meeting with me would not have been as stated: 'Get out of my land by Wednesday' and then 'bring it on.'

"Secondly, in reference to the Consulplatz treaty, Rattanjeetland was not in violation of the mentioned clause, as DP's [independence] was granted prior to Rattanjeetland hearing and thus [afterwards] taking action on DP's slanderous remarks against Rattanjeetland, and Wendorra la Vella. As well, the side agreement which facilitated the passing of Consulplatz was that Lindsholm in no way was to attempt to take control or make a pretectorate of any former Confederate members. This WAS in violation.

"Thirdly, [the administrator of the Mapp has informed me that] DP had ceded the land in question to Lindsholm after it was already annexed by Rattanjeetland, and thus after the Dictator had escaped and no longer had control of the land. Since DP no longer had control of this land, it was never [DP's] to give to Lindsholm. If Lindhsolm wished to access the land, Rattanjeetland would have been, and still will be, willing to discuss, as long as Lindsholm wishes to use his diplomats rather than his weapons to reach an agreement.

"Lastly, I wish to remark about Lindsholm's 'Jeeta Bin Lardy' remark. I wish to say as the Ethnarch [and as the person] that such comments are not acceptable anytime, anywhere, for no reason WHAT SO EVER. If you wish to settle a score with the person, do it. Leave these things off of the mapp. The 'leader' of DP made that mistake. I urge Lindsholm to correct his mistake.

"So I wish to announce that in the [meanwhile] until the dispute over this land is settled, I ask the Secretary-General of CP to issue a ruling, or [call a session of the] Great [Powers] Forum to debate this issue and release a binding ruling if Rattanjeetland and Lindsholm cannot come with a compromise. Until that time, Rattanjeetland and his protectorates will emulate Lindsholm's actions, by closing borders and revoking all materials held by all Lindsholm citizens, to be returned upon the [resolution] of this issue. Rattanjeetland and his protectorates will also stop all trade with Lindsholm indefinately. As to Lindsholm's CP motion, my diplomats will veto any such motion but will not issue a motion to deprive Lindsholm of his CP status.

"I urge the Mapp community to show their support against the instigation which is causing such horrendous trouble, [the severing of the line between reality and the Mapp,] and I urge Lindsholm to hold of on his military mission against Rattanjeetland to wait for CPs ruling."
