SAMCHORAGE PRESS RELEASE
June 2, 2002

From the President's Office:

By now, the world has heard about the Samchoragean military operation against Wendorra La Vella. While Samchorage was forced to do so by the Queen's irresponsiblity, Samchorage does not regret the course of actions. However, we do feel sympathy for the average Wendorra La Vella citizen.

Even though the media may have portrayed Samchoragean citizens as bloodthirsty warmongerers, Samchoragean citizens spontaneously observed 10 minutes of silence to honor the Samchoragean and Wendorra La Vellan (henceforth, WLV) loss of life. Our citizens had erupted into cheers for a successive military operation... but today a completely different scene is portrayed throughout Samchorage. Despite the general consensus that the military operation was fully justified and successful, people begin to wonder why the conflict had not been resolved, peacefully. Mostly, all of us wondered why the Queen of WLV did not act quickly while some wondered her whereabouts.

I am truly saddened that the Queen ignored all our pleas. The cause of the conflict is entirely the Queen's irresponsiblity as the leader of her nation, and I personally challenge her to speak out. She was unavailable when we tried to negotiate for quite some time before the battle, during the war to guide her country during the battle, and after the battle to negotiate peace treaty. Again, I would like to take this opportunity to let the WLV citizens know that our hearts go out to their loss of loved ones and that we implore you to find your Queen, in order to investigate her whereabouts prior to, during, and after the battle.
