Samchorage Press Release
November 2, 2000

[From the Office of the President]

After recovering from the Pyrrhic War, [the] Samchorage Empire is in [its] best shape yet. However, Samchorage [has] suffered too much and too many times at various occasions due to her no first strike policy which her opponents [interpret] as indecisiveness on Samchorage's part. Therefore, I, the President of Samchorage, declare that [from] this day forth, Samchorage permanently abandons the prinicples stated in [the] 'No First Strike Policy'. The Republican Empire of Samchorage promises her allies and enemies that Samchorage will never again tolerate any form of harrassment towards her or her allies. Every time that a disrespectful nation decides to harrass her or her allies for any [purpose], it will be answered by force. Up [until] now, Samchorage had compromised... [but only] this far, no farther!

While the Samokritzg gave the President a standing ovation, this sudden change was met cooly by several foreign media reporters. They fear that Samchorage will [slump] back to the highly militaristic violent society that it once had been. Yet, many civilians and military officers [see] this in a different light: a new and more [aggressive] foreign policy is fitting for the new empire, whose primary goal should be to establish a delicate balance between being militarily superior to all and being reasonably civil towards all. There is [a] general consensus [with] [the] Samchorage civilian population that the third era has dawned after [the] first era of beginning and [the] second era [consisting] of [a] struggle for greatness. The era of prosperity [will begin].
