Creosos War Destroys Kamopolis
RATTANJEETLAND - With the deadline set by the Ethnarch having run out on October 1, 2000, the King of Kamopolis gambled the fate of his entire nation and lost. In a desperate
final bid for independence, Kamopolitans loyal to King attempted to seize control of cruise missile, biological missile, and chemical missile installations. Only cruise missile installations were
wrestled away from the occupying Rattanjeetarr army.
An announcement from the King to the people concerning the seizure roused the passion of all Kamopolitans and civil disobedience erupted. By the time the Ethnarch received word of trouble in
Kamopolis, a cruise missile had already hit the superbase in Rattanjeetland - hindering airpower. In addition, most Rattanjeetarr troops were killed by the attack. Enraged, the Ethnarch responded with force.
Cruise missiles rained from the sky and destroyed the Ministry of Security and two Kamopolitan cruise missile batteries. The Ethnarch also ordered air strikes. Unfortunately, due to the surprise
Kamopolitan attack, these strikes failed. To reinforce its presence in Kamopolis, the Ethnarch sent all remaining troops to the territory in turmoil.
Another cruise missile hit the Rattanjeetland superbase but the decisive turning point was the Battle of the Corridor in which a larger Kamopolitan army was defeated by a smaller Rattanjeetarr force. With his
army in shreds, the King attempted to enact conscription. In the midst of such confusion, this proved impossible. Government operatives and spies were unsuccessful in inflitrating Rattanjeetarr installations.
As Kamopolitan bodies littered the streets, the people deserted all hope of liberation and the Ethnarch was able to restore order.
The only installation which laid in the hands of the King was one cruise missile battery. Using these missiles, the King could force the Ethnarch to negotiation. However, Rattanjeetland would not heed and made
numerous attempts to capture it. While most Kamopolitans had given up hope, teenage patriots swarmed to save the cruise missile battery - now a symbol of Kamopolitan sovereignty in light of the loss of the
Royal Army and the dejection of the populace.
Operated by teenagers, the cruise missile battery proved ineffective in hitting Rattanjeetarr targets. Surprisingly, the Rattanjeetarr troops were beaten back by the valiant nationalists initially. However,
Molotov cocktails were no match for guns, grenades, and tear gas. In the end, the teenagers capitulated and Rattanjeetarr troops advanced towards the Volkshem - the seat of Kamopolitan power.
Adopting a scorched-earth policy, the King ordered the destruction of all chemical facilities in a bid to end the Rattanjeetarr advance. A massive chemical explosion failed but toxins were released into the
atmosphere, causing Rattanjeetarr and Kamopolitan casualties alike. However, the Rattanjeetarr invasion force was merely hindered and not stopped. Realizing the inevitable, the King was forced to flee the Volkshem with
the Royal Court to Marcusburg.
The King left behind him a nation in ruins, a people dejected, and an Ethnarch victorious. The Kingdom of Kamopolis is no more.
