CP Takes Control of Kamostopol
Siggary and East El-Hussaq Agree on Mandate Status

Following a week of intense diplomacy between Siggary and East El-Hussaq, the latest events surrounding the fate of Kamostopol appears to have reached a calm for the time being. In one of her statements, the Queen of Siggary proposed that Kamostopol be a temporary Congressional mandate until the upcoming Congress of Pauldelphia decides the fate of that nation. On October 5, 2001, President El Cid II agreed to the Queen's request and the Secretary-General of Congressional Parliament (CP) approved the transfer of power to the Congressional Mandates Commission.

A 10,000 strong portion of the Defensecorps has arrived in Kamostopol and has restored order. Congressional diplomats, engineers, and doctors are quickly establishing a makeshift government, refugee terminal, and medical centre for a land plagued by months of war and uncertainty. Rumors from the Hall of Affiliates in the Parliament indicate that Siggarian and East El-Hussaqi observers may participate in the overall rehabilitation process by Congressional Parliament.
