Vaticon Makes Peace
Civil Agreement Reached between Warring Powers

On October 31, 2001, Dope Con Paul II of Vaticon City and the Pharaoh of Meijing reached an agreement over the future status of Vaticon City. The Dope is to receive all his land back in return for the payment of A10,000K as reparations to Meijing. In addition, Meijingese culture will pervade into the Vaticonian way of life as an annual parade is to be held in honor of Meijing every Hallowe'en and all Vaticonians must take a pledge of allegiance to the Pharaoh.

Shortly after word of the Vaticonian Resolution reached newsstands around the Mapp, the Dope and the Pharaoh signed a formal peace treaty known as 'The Cande Accord'. The terms of the treaty remain secret.

In an unrelated event, the CEO of Miketon formally recevied a Rattanjeetarr grand military base in its Dickens Peninsula province at the same time as the Vaticonian peace unfolded.
