Vaticon City Attacks Meijing
Apparently the Vaticonian Resolution did not have the resolve required to dilute the bad blood between Meijing and Vaticon City formed during the Vaticonian War. For days, an underground resistance movement had been festering within Vaticon City intent on "liberating" their nation from Meijingese "oppressors". The so-called "Popemeisters" believed that the Vaticonian Resolution was incredibly unfair and the only way to regain freedom was through force.
On the night of November 12, 2001, the Popemeisters were able to convince the Vaticonian government to attack Meijing. However, far from Popemeister predictions, only 250 able-bodied troops were available to fight at the time. Against a stronger Meijingese military force, the hastily constructed Vaticonian army was hastily defeated.
Even a further desperate rally from the Pentacon (Vaticonian Parliament) made no effect as Vaticonian conscripts tried in vain to invade Meijing. In the end, Meijingese troops poured across the border and occupied the Pentacon once more. As day breaks in the northeast, an eerie scene of deja vu unfolds. Vaticon City again lays prostrate as Meijing occupies its halls of power.
