The Bastard Anschluss
A Baby Unites Meijing and Vaticon City

After the rapid installment of her daughter Minimei as the governor general of Vaticon City, the Pharaoh of Meijing soon ran into problems. Firstly, the foreign minister of Buenos Altos, Lord Somerset, sent an expeditionary force into Vaticon City and demanded that Meijingese troops leave the nation. Secondly, due to an insatiable lust between the Dope and Minimei, it is suspected that both political figures proved their love again and again and again until a baby was conceived. The rapidity and determination of the two has many saying that it puts the legendary affair between Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, and Mark Antony to utter shame.

As a result of the bastard baby, the Pharaoh of Meijing immediately stepped forward to implement measures of political damage control. On November 16, 2001, at an impromptu press conference, Meijing reluctantly announced a loose form of political union which was termed an Anschluss. All government and military assets would merge but the finances would remain separate. However, the new political entity still requires a name and international recognition. To further complicate matters, rumors report that the fertile Dope has stated he does not want his nation to be liberated by Buenos Altos.
