Weekly Launches into Space Pique Interest

Within the span of two days, the Marcusburg Space Launch Centre has witnessed the launch of two capsules into orbit. A spokesperson for the Marcusburg space agency, the EXtraterrestrial Space Oversight Agency for Research (X-SOAR), has iterated in his daily press conferences that the capsules being launched are of a purely scientific nature. Other nations are suspicious as to the true nature of the launches but officials are constantly reassuring the skeptics that the foundations are being set for the presence of an international space station.

"The basis for peace can be set either by mutual hatred through power blocs or by international cooperation through conquest of the final frontier of space. We choose to pursue the latter", read an inscription on a replica of the second capsule released to the general public at the Marcusburg Museum of Aeronautics and Space in Imperialis. Crowds from afar waited hours in anticipation of the event and they were not disappointed. Officials from X-SOAR are quietly saying that they hope the new interest in space will diminsh the allure of war, and, of course, that their research will acquire new federal funding.
