Move Triggered by Phoenix Crisis

MARCUSBURG - The former King of Kamopolis has taken a dramatic symbolic gesture by renaming his country from Kamopolis to Kamograd in an effort to stop the Ethnarch's claims to all Kamopolitan territory. The Pheonix Crisis stems from the Creosos War in which Kamopolis was defeated in a battle for survival.

The name change is not all talk, however. Other changes are in store as well. The King will cede control to an all-powerful president, who is to be advised by a national Congress. The President shall have the right of veto and the right to rule by decree in times of emergency.

Being the upper house, the Congress is appointed and is expected to consist mostly of the Royal Court which fled Kamopolis proper with the King in the Creosos War. The lower house will bear overtones of former Kamopolis, however, as it will be known as the Volkshem. Elections are to held soon.

Within the nascent Congress are rumors concerning a longing by Kamograders to repartiate Kamopolitan citizens living under Rattanjeetarr rule. Although officially these Kamopolitan citizens are Rattanjeetlanders, a national identity cannot be erased within a week. The Ethnarch has yet to respond to the name change and these rumors.
