Queen Agrees With Riksholm Limitations

APRIL 30, 2002 - After defending herself against accusations of irresponsible shoe shopping, the Queen of Wendorra la Vella declared her support for the military limitations of the Riksholm Treaty in an impromptu press conference of her own this morning.

The announcement may come as a bit of a shock for those involved in the Neorikspolitik process. In the past, Samchoragean consultations with Riksholmic powers quickly resulted in an agreement to renegotiate the infamous document. However in Wendorra la Vella, citizens and politicians in the Polimento view the Riksholm Treaty as a cornerstone of its peace and stability.

This view is not surprising as Wendorra la Vella has suffered under the rule of many ex-Confederate powers in the past. For example, Rattanjeetarr, East El-Hussaqi, and Kamogradian troops have all occupied Wendorran soil at one time or another, and Samchorage has used its power to influence the previous development of the country.

Furthermore, the way by which Samchorage attempted to contact the Wendorran people has struck fear in their hearts. Many worry that their nation shall be forced to endure another round of pain, conflict, and hardship if military limitations on the ex-Confederate powers are lifted.

Currently, there has not yet been comment by any of the Riksholmic Powers or by the GX - the enforcers of the Riksholm Treaty. In the meantime, the ultimatum against Jollywood still stands.
