In the latest chapter of the Phoenix Crisis, the Ethnarch refuses to acknowledge the difference between the Kingdom of Kamopolis and the Republic of Kamograd. Now a Samchorage Protectorate, Kamograd is still claimed by Rattanjeetland as an integral portion of the Confedercy. The renewed claim has raised the ire of the Samchorage President, who is determined to maintain his control over Kamograd and secure his presence in the West.

In a scathing communique to the Prime Chancellor of Marcusburg, the President strongly requested the protector of Rattanjeetland to disown the Confederacy and remain neutral should a reenactment of the Pyrrhic War occur. In fact, the President of Samchorage referred to the Ethnarch as a "dead fat girl" in one section of the leaked document. However, Marcusburg remained loyal to the Ethnarch and is now playing the role of "honest broker" between Rattajneetland and Samchorage.

Apparently, the latter two powers have not resolved differences stemming from the Norterr Crisis, the Pyrrhic War, and most recently the Phoenix Crisis. Although diplomatic relations have deteriorated, the prospect of peace remains steady as both sides are willing to negotiate. The President of Samchorage has made it clear that the President of Kamograd must participate in future negotiations. War is not imminent.
