Sudden Unannounced War Possible in Future

In a rare fusion of economics and politics, the President of Samchorage has managed to squeeze additional revenue from his population while eradicating civilians to create a 100% military populace. What began as an attempt to finance the militaristic endeavors of the hawkish President resulted in a stream of emigrants from the plains of New Hope North and the fertile steppes of Lipasia. Horrified by a doubling of the tax rate, all civilians and a few military officials, who were smuggled out of the nation, resettled all over the Mapp. When the dust had cleared, 88577 people had left Samchorage for greener pastures. The President had barred any soldiers from leaving.

With no civilians to speak of, Samchorage has become a lean military machine, capable of fighting any war with 100% determination. In cases of conflict, all 650,510 Samchorage citizens will be mobilized, of which only roughly 250,000 are amateur troops. Coupled with the dramatic change in foreign policy, the new “Third Samchoragean Era” marks a new era indeed. The Samokritzg now contains no civilians as all deputies are associated with the military in one way or another; Samchoragean democracy has been threatened.

Having gone through a prolonged civilian battle against Rattanjeetland following the Pyrrhic War, the President has vowed to never be frustrated by such annoyances again. Apparently his solution is war – the best defense is a good offense. Because the First Strike Policy has been abandoned, Samchorage can and will declare war on any power at any time for any reason at all. The Secretary-General of Congressional Parliament has condemned the development, calling Samchoragean events “barbaric and a step back in time”.
