June 5, 2002 - With the Queen nowhere in sight, her nation was divided into two pieces - one for Samchorage and the other for a truncated Wendorra la Vella. The new border is not a natural one. Shops, boutiques, and roads are awkwardly separated between the two sectors.

The strangeness may be illustrated by the situation on both sides of the Boulevard della Vella in the capital city. To the north is the Polimento, the Wendorran Parliament, while to the south is the famous Wendorran mall, the largest such building on the Mapp. Samchoragean economic advisors convinced decision-makers to keep the mall but ditch the Parliament. The Samchoragean partition also links Confedland province with territory acquired from the war.

However, the new lesser Wendorra la Vella still remains under occupation by 5,000 troops, as the President withdrew 25,000 earlier today. Many soldiers will be receiving bonuses in their paycheques courtesy of the transfer of the entire Wendorran treasury, a total of 433 million altos, to the Samchorage Central Bank in New Hope. Meanwhile, many bars are getting ready for brisk business as the troops come home.
