Rattanjeetland Gains Independence
Confederacy Emerges Anew

Two events spurred the acquisition of independence by the Ethnarch - the fact that Portalto was annexed by Marcusburg and that the Confederacy has recovered from the Pyrrhic War following the peace arrangement arrived at by Rattanjeetland and Samchorage.

The Rattanjeetland Confederacy loses the protection of Marcusburg as it no longer is technically Marcusburg soil. The Ethnarch intends to pursue a civilian-oriented policy by developing his empire, strengthening members of the Confederacy, and researching new technologies. The balance of power, once skewed massively in the direction of Marcusburg, has been moderated by an independent Rattanjeetland.
