Samchorage Imposes Peace

SAMCHORAGE - On Wednesday, August 14, the Secretary-General of Congressional Parliament (CP) received a proposed peace treaty from Samchorage concerning the Wendorran predicament.

The Samchorage Foreign Ministry requested that CP forward the treaty to the Wendorran government-in-exile, which fled during the invasion. However, after numerous failed attempts to contact the cabinet and the long-since absent Queen, the Congressional Parliament decided to recognize the current Wendorran regime. As a result, the proposed treaty was automatically implemented.

Important points of the treaty include the imposition of Samchoragean protectorship on Wendorra la Vella and a free trade pact between the two countries. The remaining eight clauses reflect a strong centralization of power in the Samokritzg away from the Polimento in Wendorra la Vella.

Some human rights groups are protesting the treaty, claiming that it oppresses Wendorra la Vellans. However, many blame the apathy of the former Wendorran government for the woes plaguing the country today. In addition, CP defended its move by citing the Congress of Wingtucky in which Samchorage was condemned for the Wendorran invasion. Therefore, according to the Secretary-General, the issue was resolved, and ‘political loose ends’ from the military action must be tied up as soon as possible for the Mapp to move on.
