New Weimar Invaded

SAMCHORAGE - After news broke that the Congressional Parliament would auction off a section of New Weimar in the upcoming Congress of Jenneva, the President ordered an invasion of the ambitious Queendom.

A little after 9:40 PM on October 3, a Samchoragean missile streaked across the Weimaran sky and destroyed the local military academy, heralding the beginning of war. Simultaneously, government agents were sent to the border in the Nexusland and New Hope provinces to start a huge fire that would encircle the entire territory. After a few non-starters, a seering column of fire surrounded Nexusland. In contrast, the effort in the New Hopes were unsuccessful.

While more missiles plunged down on New Weimar, the survivors at the military academy gathered up whatever equipment they could muster, and decided that the best defense was a good offense. Young and impassionated, a group of roughly 2,500 well-armed students drove to Samchorage-Nexusland after ramming through two border checkpoints into and out of neighbouring Jangstown.

Although faced with flames, the military students drove through the blazing inferno with disastrous results. Only 170 made it through alive, where they met a bewildered populace that was so surprised by the manouevre, no resistance was incurred. With wires cut, the Samokritzg was unable to re-establish communications with Nexusland province.

In place of missiles, the President ordered an electromagnetic strike against the White Estate (Weimaran parliament) in retaliation, completely destroying the structure from top to bottom. Meanwhile, 10,000 Samchoragean troops marched into the prosperous Weimaran colony in the south.

Encouraged by their miraculous occupation of Nexusland, many Weimarans vowed to continue their fight against Samchorage, and some even believed they could stand their ground and win. However, another devastating electromagnetic pulse soon annihilated the local mine corporation - the sustenance of the Weimaran economy in the north. With the colony gone and the capital city facing economic starvation, not to mention imminent bloodshed, the people of New Weimar surrendered to Samchorage at 11:17 PM.

As a result, the students in Nexusland shortly thereafter laid their arms after news of defeat came through on their walkie-talkies. Meanwhile, a contingent of Samchorage troops prepared to move into the Weimaran capital from the southern Samukuoka province through a multitude of nations. However, they only got as far as the El-Hussaq Republic before the War Office realized it would be impossible to cross the territories of at least three additional nations without provoking a hostile response. As troops moved into and out of El-Hussaq, the President went on national television to apologize for the incursion, but called it necessary. He also promised to compensate El Cid II for the incident if needed.

A more direct route to New Weimar through Marcusburg was proven impossible after the Marcurean ambassador in Samchorage, summoned before the President, flat out denied access through Marcurean space. The 20,000 battalion was moved into the Weimaran colony where they currently occupy the terrtitory.

As a concilliatory gesture, the President then ordered the Samchoragean ambassador to Congressional Parliament to put forth a motion in the General Assembly suggesting that the Weimaran capital province become a Congressional mandate. As well, the ambassador hinted that Samchorage-Nexusland province could be put up for auction in the Congress of Jenneva instead of the original Weimaran Queendom.

The Secretary-General responded that Samchorage shall be charged with aggression, and may face an additional charge of obstructing Congressional Parliament with respect to the upcoming Weimaran auction. In the meantime, capitals around the Mapp are scrambling to keep up with current developments, and no official statement has been released by any other nation. The brief military action left 22,472 Weimarans dead. Samchorage suffered no casualties.
