Congressional Inquiry Reports
From the balcony of Congressional Parliament in the Peace Park, the Secretary-General announced his intention to dispatch an inquiry to the Northwest in order to determine what really happened in the week following the Anticlimax.
Here are excerpts of his speech: "It is deeply troubling to me that the rising nations of Kamograd and El-Hussaq are being attacked by terrorists to the west and spies from the east. Congressional Parliament is determined to protect the sovereignty of all members... I am dispatching an inquiry to determine the extent to which Kamograd and El-Hussaq needs assistance... the heads of state of these nations need not worry. If they are being honest, they have nothing to hide."
The results of the inquiry were swift and pointed suspicion at El-Hussaq and Kamograd. In the investigation as to whether or not Steldoradan spies had stolen technology, it was discovered that Steldorado has no formal spy agency and that all warrior priestesses were busy giving the High Priestess "an all-girls massage" in the Hagia Lesbia. The claim on which El-Hussaq relied to seize the Steldoradan colony was rejected.
In the matter of the Kamograd school bus explosion by Kafobrenan terrorists, Congressional Parliament discovered that the school bus was packed with kids from the leaders of the opposition parties and the school bus driver was a union leader. As well, the school bus was operating with half an engine and punctured tires. The other half of the school bus engine was found at the Presidential Palace. In addition, the same school bus was located on the presidential compound for "repairs" the night before the explosion. It appears that the explosion was planted.
When the news returned to the Hall of Affiliates in Congressional Parliament, the Secretary-General expressed outrage at the findings and immediately began the paperwork for the issuance of charges in the upcoming Congress of El-Hussaq.
