TIERRA DEL VENTISCA, PAULDELPHIA - The situation in Shannli has become extremely volatile in the past few days. As a non-existent deadline grows near, an international force remains stationed in the country without a clear agenda while the nation itself is under occupation by Miketonian and Pauldelphian forces.

After the Great Powers Forum (GPF) of Congressional Parliament (CP) authorized the deployment of the Defensecorps into Shannli, the CEO of Miketon set a deadline for the Princess of Shannli to respond in light of the occupation of her country. Although few expected the cabinet-in-exile to take notice, the Princess released her comments on March 3.

In her statement, she calls for additional international intervention to save her country. Even though Congressional Parliament has interfered in the invasion of Shannli, its mandate has been to prevent an automatic annexation and not to restore the country's integrity or freedom.

Because the Princess responded, the Miketonian deadline has ended and no end to the conflict is in sight. In the meantime, the situation remains tense as the world remains fixated over how the Shannli Fiasco will be escalated, or defused.
