MIKETON, MIKETON - For over a week the international community had left the fate of Shannli up to the Congress of Danikistan. Now that the Congress has closed, the situation still remains.
Although Miketon has been tentatively diplomatically isolated and Pauldelphia economically embargoed, the Defensecorps remains in Shannli along with Miketonian and Pauldelphian troops while Shannli's fate remains in limbo. In the meantime, a hypothetical Marcusburg plan proposed on March 21 as a compromise to defuse the situation has encountered resistance from the GX but support from Rattanjeetland. Officials from the Yachtfew are trying to contact Shannlinese officials.
As a side note, Great Powers have until March 26 to veto any issue in the Congress. Rumours have it that Gorditas or Lindsholm may veto the lifting of the Samchoragean embargo and Rattanjeetarr officials were initially dismayed at the publicization of Congress votes. However, at this point this is pure conjecture.
