SHANNLI, SHANNLI - A Great Powers Forum Resolution passed on April 3, 2003, paving the way for the resolution of the Phekal Matter.

By a unanimous vote, the Marcusburg compromise proposal was passed through the Forum. With the agreement of Shannli, Miketon, and Pauldelphia, all sides are confident of the swift implementation of 'Forum Resolution 13'.

The Resolution calls for the relocation of existing Shannli to Terra Occidentale (new land from the previous land rush) with 215 million altos and 55 strucpoints to be supplied by Miketon and Pauldelphia. These amounts are equivalent to the worth of 'Old Shannli'. As well, Congressional Parliament agrees to supply 'New Shannli' with nascent economic privileges.

In return, Miketon and Pauldelphia will be allowed to partition and annex 'Old Shannli' into their respective countries. At 11:30AM, the Imperatore of Pauldelphia realized this possibility, with experts soon expecting Miketon to follow suit.

After Miketon annexes its portion of 'Old Shannli', the Defensecorps shall accompany the Shannlinese on their way to their new home in Terra Occidentale. It is expected the troops will be recalled shortly thereafter.

In the meantime, the world continues to abide by a policy of diplomatically isolating Miketon and economically embargoing Pauldelphia. While analysts expect minimal impact from the Miketonian development, many fear a global economic meltdown when the effects of the Pauldelphian embargo are registered in the March financial statement.
