The Universalistic Dictator continues his country's expansionist drive into the far west.
Buoyed by his victory in the Kafobrenan crisis, Neodickensian forces moved into the Weimaran Occidental colony at 12:02AM on June 3, 2003. The 6,666 soldiers met no resistance in the untouched land claimed by New Weimar.
Analysts attribute the rapid Neodickensian thrust into Terra Occidentale as a response to developmental pressure on the so-called "Far West Corridor" that links the developed south to the far west. Only a part of the corridor is paved highway, with the remainder being unclaimed land through which armies may legally move freely.
However, a Lindsholmic plan to construct an immense suburb to link the Xenoholm and Dajilholm provinces threatens to cut off this route, which provides free access to all territories in the Occidentale.
As construction crews have already begun building houses, sources say that New Dickens felt it had to act fast before its outlet to the far west was severed once and for all.
Nevertheless, Congressional officials are dismayed at the act of aggression, especially after the recent invasion of Kafobrena. Furthermore, many are also left wondering if the international response to this development will be just as tepid.
