Assassination in Zimbabmei
Zimbabnese security forces foiled an assassination attempt on King Con early this morning.

At an impromptu press conference at 8:41AM, the Zimbabnese government blamed the Weimaran Rebels, a rogue organization from New Weimar.

To express its outrage over the incident, the Zimbabnese government has clarified its ultimatum to New Weimar that it issued last month.

Now the country has until midnight on August 6, 2003 to join the Zimbabmei Cheertocracy or face "severe military consequences".

The origins of the assassination attempt are shrouded in mystery as speculation flies that either New Weimar or Zimbabmei may be the perpetrators.

Some argue that the attempt was a genuine attempt on the behalf of New Weimar to stall an impending invasion of their country.

Others counter that the assassination is an attempt by Zimbabmei to justify its invasion of New Weimar.

Nevertheless, whatever the reason, it appears that war between the two states in the northeast has become inevitable.
