El-Hussaq Expelled
Nexus and Confederacy Begin Unofficial Detente

As a direct result of the Dickskrieg on March 29, 2001, the Supreme Council of the Phoenix Confederacy held an emergency conference on the 30th over the El-Hussaqi raid of Dickens Peninsula, a fellow Confederate member. In the impromptu meeting, the President of Samchorage and the Ethnarch of Rattanjeetland stunned the world by expelling El-Hussaq from the Phoenix Confederacy.

Rumblings from within were heard in the previous night as the Ethnarch claimed the raid on Dickens Peninsula was authorized without his full approval. Meanwhile the President of Kamograd expressed deep concern over El-Hussaq's ability to borrow military installations without receiving full permission - a side effect of an obscure emegerency Confederate clause which was never used before.

When President Aladdin received word of the expulsion, the Ring of Fire was enacted shortly thereafter. In the meantime, an unexpected thaw in Nexus-Confederate Relations became apparent as Samchorage and Gorditas exchanged multinationals and embassies. Samchorage and Pauldelphia; Pauldelphia and Miketon; and Pauldelphia and Kamograd signed similar international agreements. Lindsholm and Marcusburg remain cautious amidst the trickling of goodwill between both sides.
