Unity and Strength Found Forged in Arms

On July 6, 2001, hours after the Ethnarch of Rattanjeetland conscripted in response to the Wendorran invasion of Nemangrade, the Supreme Council of the Phoenix Confederacy passed a resolution creating a Pan-Confederate Army, fulfilling the dreams of Confederate leaders ever since the disastrous War of 2K1.

According to the Rattanjeetland and Samchorage ambassadors to Congressional Parliament, the Confederate Army is an "opt-out" based system in which all members of the Phoenix Confederacy are forced to participate in the military endeavour. However, at any time a nation may opt-out and retain their own national armies. As a result, participating nations inculde East El-Hussaq, Josephville, Kamograd, Miketon, Natharctica, Novara, Rattanjeetland, Samchorage, and Wendorra la Vella.

Following the Riksholm Treaty, each participant nation is allowed to contribute a military troop amount equivalent to 40% of the population of the trailing militarized Confederate member. Natharctica, as the trailing Confederate member, dictates that each nation can contribute a maximum of 9,891 troops. When a nation has less than 9,891 military personnel, all troops go towards the Confederate Army.

A daring experiment in supranational unity and cooperation, the Confederate Army is 61,966 strong. As well, the Ethnarch of Rattanjeetland has named the President of Samchorage the Commander-In-Chief of the Confederate Armed Forces, in effect giving Samchorage control of the new military force.
