A Great Power Reasserts Its Might

Directly following the issuance of the ultimatum by Kamograd, the President of Samchorage ordered general conscription of the Samchoragean populace, within the limits set by the Riksholm Treaty. The rapid campaign yielded only 219,439 conscripts, far short of the maximum 30% allowed by the Riksholm Treaty. With the increase in troop number, the Samchoragean armed forces number just over 315,000.

Analysts are furiously debating the cause of the move, with some attributing it to the general Confederate renaissance, while others claim it is a sign of a militaristic campaign to come. Whatever the case may be, within the last two days, the Empire of Rattanjeetland and the Republican Empire of Samchorage have quickly re-established their presence on the international political scene.
