WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THE EVENT OF A AUTO ACCIDENT?    First thing's first, if it's your fault.....your parents might kill you. So be sure to tell the officer who you want your CD collection to go to, but if it is YOUR fault the dumbest thing to do is run. Never run. Don't you watch those police videos? You won't get far, so just get it out of your head.     Be sure to give the person you hit all your information (Driver's license number, insurance company, and address) Also, look to see if they were drinking. Drunk driving is a VERY bad thing, but in this case, if they are drunk, it's your lucky day! You are also going to want to get the names and addresses of all the pedestrians that witnessed the event and all of the passengers.     Now, if you get into an accident and it's NOT your fault, be sure to check and make sure that you are not injured, and remember, if in doubt, cry. Crying is a legal secret weapon Although it does not alwys work, it can help in almost any desperate situation. Obviously if they hurt your car enough you might want to do something physically damaging to them, but wait.....it is a BAD idea. If you swear it was not your fault, punching in the face of the other driver won't exactly make you look like a very reliable witness to your own dilemma. Staying calm could help you out of the situation and it could also save the other driver several plastic surgeries. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO IS ALWAYS UNDERSTAND THE LAW.
