As it unfolds…
I’ve seen so many things with these eyes…
Dark spiraling things
Things with wings
Unspeakable dreams
As it unfolds…
I wake and feel alone in the night
The child next to me stirs
My sight dips and blurs
His breath gently purrs
I’ve been away too long
My reality is bent to fuck
I’ve been away so long
I can’t depend on this luck
I’ve been acting so strong
I ought to try it out
This has been feeling so wrong
I’ve been drowning in doubt
As it unfolds…
I’ve seen so many things with these eyes…
Things without breath
Resembling death
There’s nothing left
As it unfolds…
The picture starts to cloud in my mind
The incubus consumes
The nightmare blooms
My midnight groom
