The Medieval World's Sentinels |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Sentinels are to
ensure that the family is safe by patrolling the Medieval World.
Their responsibility is to greet new visitors and learn why they are
here and where they come from. Being in that position, it is the
sentinel's job to make sure each new visitor that comes into the
Medieval World has good intentions as well. When the sentinel is not
present within the Medieval World, or if there is none, the
greetings responsibilities go to all family members. Sentinels also
make sure that the family members keep themselves out of trouble,
and that no fights break out between visitors (or other family
members), warning them of the rules. After the warning, the sentinel
reserves the right to kick a continually aggressive or provoking
person out of the room and set a temporary ban (posting in the forum
of course). If this does happen, they are to report to the Gods and
Goddess' and tell them what happened (along with text) emailing them
at gods@bytemegrafix.zzn.com .
Duties: -keep a log book
of any disruptions with text(make sure to ALWAYS save text)and send
to the high council -keep up to date on the forum -inform the
high council of any important news -recruit new
members -welcome all visitors and greet them properly "greetings
___ and welcome to the medieval world", "feel free to take a look
around and please ask if you have any questions", or if it is a
returning visitor, simply "welcome back ____" is acceptable. Make
sure to welcome family members with "welcome home
____". -remember visitors make an impression of the Medieval
World based on you at most times, be polite, kind, considerate and
helpfull. |
The Medieval World Scouts |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Scouts are
responsible for warning the family of dangerous territory outside of
the Medieval World, if any. Scouts are mainly members known by
nieghboring homesteads and visit around often. They stay in touch
with other homes and the rest of the Medieval World, and keep
friendly relations. They are to report any important changes to the
Gods and Goddess'. These include: if a new home is formed: scouts
are to find out who is the leader or leaders and if the family is
peaceful. Another change includes the banishment of a person; scouts
are to find out who was banished from where and why. This job is
important for the Medieval World and other homes to stay in alliance
and in understanding with another and to ensure the safety of the
Medieval World.
Duties: -keep a logbook of homes, leaders,
major upcoming events, and major happenings so that we may send well
wishes and congradulations or sympathies when appropriate. -keep
a log of banishments in nieghboring homes so that we may maintain
peace. |
The Medieval World's Scribes |
 |
 |
 |
 |
The scribes are
responsible for keeping up to date on all message posts, including
the forum, guestbook and shoutbox. They record text for weddings,
meetings and any special events. Scribes aid the historical high
council member in keeping the essays up to date and growing. They
obtain new members information and send it along with the bios to
the council.
Duties: -attend family meetings -keep up
to date on the forum -research and provide essays as needed for
the Historical High Council Member -copy, save and send text of
major events to the
council |
Enforcers |
Sentinels take the
role of Primary Enforcer, making sure each visitor within the
Medieval World respects and abides by the rules set forth. While the
high council is absent, members should first approach the sentinel
if there is a problem affecting the harmony of the family or the
Medieval World. If a high council member and the sentinel are
absent, all members should be aware of the role of enforcer. For
example, if one was to curse excessively, warn them of their
language and of respect for one another. You can warn them in the
room or im them and kindly remind them of respect within our walls.
If after a fair warning, a person continues to show disrespect and
breaking of rules, members may place a temporary ban on that person,
but it is the sentinal's right to act first if they are present in
the Medieval World. If this does happen, members are to report to
the high council and tell them what happened (along with saved text
of course). |
Greeters |
Sentinels are the
primary greeters. However, when the sentinel is not present within
the Medieval World, the greeting responsibility goes to the other
members of the family. |
The Medieval World Assessments |
 |
 |
 |
 |
These are the
members who wish to become a part of the family and are being
evaluated. The family looks for loyalty, respect, and socialness
from the assessment: how well the person communicates with the
members and how they act towards visitors of the Medieval World. The
waiting period of an assessment varies from as little as a few weeks
up to a month or more, all depending. In the Medieval World, the
waiting period is long so patience must be present when
joining.
Duties: -keep up to date on the forum -learn
of our ways -read the essays to know more of the Medieval
World |
