Character Profile: Queen Margot

Queen Margot was known as the white princess due to her fair hair and pale eyes. Brother to King Charlen the previous king of Hemro, and an Aunt of Prince Archydor, Queen Margot was raised at the court in Palace.

There are scholars who attribute the success of King Charlen's reign to his sister Margot. Margot became her brother's most important adviser.

She excelled at administration and court politics. Arranging many marriages and political alliances on behalf of the King, she ensured a very stable reign. Ultimately, she arranged her own marriage to the King of Sarkon at Niffolk, thus strengthening the peace between Sarkon and Hemro. It was also personally ambitious. Margot knew the King of Sarkon was ill and may soon die. As he had no heir, Margot has taken rulership of Sarkon upon herself.

Since her time as Queen of Sarkon, Margot has negotiated many political and trade alliances with neighboring lands. Her enemies, however, are within her own court, those nobles and advisers who are jealous of her quick rise to power.

Act 2: "A very very special woman indeed." So says Hal very firmly and anyone not keen to find out if he sharpens his swords agrees.

The Queen took us and Archydor into her confidence onour return from the Ripperdark, convincing us to aide her and defeat Earl Manong in the One-Day War. Being true to her word she installed the healed Archydor as King of Hemro although as his only Aunt she does of course hold a sway over him.
