Recovering the Past: UK Global Learn Day II

The UK Global Learn website was developed in 1998 by a group of University of North London staff interested in using the internet and world wide web as a community information system. The website was formed part of an international network of sites developed for Global Learn Day II, anchored at Benjamin Franklin University in Southern California and co-ordinated there by John Hibbs.

Following Global Learn Day II, in October 1998, five key events occured:

Such events are to be expected, and are the cause of much of the transient nature of accessibility to information provided through internet technology.
