Working with Energy: Vision Dreaming

The dark was such that you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Not knowing where I was, I walked forward, or what I thought of as forward. I could have been walking back, for all I could see. I stretched my hands out, slightly, in front of me, and felt a door knob. A rush of relief went through me. As I turned the knob, the door swung out, and I was looking down a sparsely lit hallway. I closed the door, leaning back against it and breathing hard. I am terrified of the dark, and was so glad to be out. There were doors up both sides of the hall, spaced evenly apart. The walls looked to be a very light gray, the doors were white. There was no carpet, and the floor was white tiles. Realizing that I was in a hospital, I began to walk down the hall, to find out why I was there. At the end of my walk, it turned toward the left. Immediately in front of me was a nurses' station. It must be night, as it was dark here, too. There were no windows anywhere. The nurses' station was round. I look around for someone, and see an empty waiting room beyond the nurses' station. As I walked around the outside of the station, I saw into it. There were the typical chairs, computers, papers and such. Two chairs face one of the cubicles, and I sit down in one. A nurse walks by. I quietly asked her if, by sitting here, I am in the way. She replied that I wa not. A nurse was in the nurses' station with her back to me. I could see from my seat that she had curly blonde hair. Suddenly, she slowly turned around, leaned over towards me and said "He is over your left shoulder." I was surprised and said "What?" She said, "It's a man with dark hair." I asked her if she saw him, and she replied that she could. Then she said to me, "I have the first planet, too." I had no idea what she was talking about. She gestured behind her. I saw what can only be described as a mobile of the universe. The kind you make in junior high science class. The planets were very clear. In the dark room, the colors stood out brightly. In my life I have been blessed, or cursed, with dreams. For many years they scared me, but I came to the conclusion that they were helping me to figure things out, or telling me a story. Sometimes they warned me. At the time that I experienced this dream, I had been having some odd dreams. In one, I was being surrounded by snakes of many shapes and sizes. There were gigantic ones, anall the way down to minute ones. Not all of them were aggressive. Some were protecting me against others. There were many things happening that was leading me on a spiritual journey. My very dear friend, a "spiritual advisor" you might say, listened to me describe my dreams in detail. We discussed the importance of snakes, and what they meant to the subconscious. After my hospital dream, she was amazed. "The first planet? That is amazing. What's the first planet? This is where we must start." Mercury is the first planet. So we did some research on Mercury (otherwise known as Hermes). According to her, Mercury is known as messenger of the gods, and is credited with bringing dreams to mankind. He had warrior atributes, and was associated with snakes. All of these things, and many more, are what led me to Hermes as my guide. My advisor told me that in her experience, "Our guides are temporary, leading us to someone else, to find a connection". And so I listen, and wait for communication from my guide. I believe that he has been with me for some time, starting me on my particular journey. Now that I know who he is, and what he signifies, the dreams have lessened. They don't go away, but I believe he had to make himself known. It was the right time for me, as I was so open to his motions. It was time for me to take the first steps on my journey. Thankfully I haven't had to go alone.
